Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Gerard Maley, says that Natasha Fyles must immediately release cabinet submission information to clear the dark cloud hanging over the Labor Government as a result damning information in the latest ICAC Report.
“The allegations made in the ICAC Report are extremely serious, namely that the Labor Cabinet refused to give the ICAC information concerning a cabinet submission that may have been falsified.
“Instead of working with the ICAC to uncover the facts of the alleged fraud, they chose to block him, causing the investigation to be closed.
“The Natasha Fyles Labor Government has the ability to now release this information so that a full investigation can be initiated—which they have failed to do.
“This is simply one more incident in a long line of incidents that have decreased the credibility of the Labor Government, which came to government on a platform of integrity, transparency and responsibility. “Natasha Fyles should explain to Territorians today why she has chosen to continue to thwart the legitimate efforts of the ICAC she appointed to carry out their statutory duties,” says Mr Maley.
