On behalf of the CLP Opposition we would like to thank Paul McCue for his service leading the Northern Territory Police Association.
Police in the Territory have never been asked to do as much as they are now and under the toughest of conditions. Paul has been a fierce advocate for every member of the Northern Territory Police Force, never shying away from confronting the issues they face every day.
Everyone who has had a conversation with Paul knows that you’ll be held to account and put through your paces. Rightly no one got special treatment.
The Opposition team thanks Paul for his steadfast commitment and willingness to discuss the true goings on from the frontline to the top.
Without Paul, the lack of support our Police are getting would not have become part of the National debate. We will continue to work with the NTPA on getting a better deal for our police who risk their lives every day to protect ours.
